AMAZIGH in Situ

Inspired by the Ahidous traditions of the Amazigh tribes of Morocco’s Middle Atlas Mountains, AMAZIGH, is a dazzling performance for five artists. Here, music and dance emerge in their rawest, most irrepressible form: crackling percussion, a shared impulse, and unstoppable momentum. Built around a metronomic loop reminiscent of a bolero, the performers dance and sing a geometric, exhilarating score whose hypnotic intensity rises steadily towards ecstasy. AMAZIGH is pure concentrated energy.
