Zimbabwean artist Portia Zvavahera's large-scale compositions mix printmaking and painting to record scenes, human figures and ghostly creatures from dreams. Weaving personal and collective experience through Shona spiritual traditions and Christian iconography, the work addresses loss, love, grief, and joy.
