Cecília Peçanha transforms Espirito Mundo into a forest in perpetual mutation — animated foliage, fauna and magical creatures bathed in slowly shifting colour and light. In nature nothing is fixed: everything pulses, breathes and transforms. Beyond the hypnotic aesthetic, the work is a call to preserve nature, the Amazon and the ecosystems that sustain life on the planet, addressing the urgency of climate change. Peçanha is a multi-instrumentalist trained in flute at Brussels's Royal Conservatory, working across medieval, baroque and Brazilian-jazz traditions; painting is her second language, her canvases exploring the dialogue of colour with light and nature.
