About this event
Participants will be introduced to electret condenser microphones (ECMs) used for field recording and acoustic instrument amplification, learn about different capsule types and powering solutions, then solder a pair of omnidirectional microphones to take home. Limited to 10 participants. No prior knowledge required — soldering equipment provided. Led by Maryia Kamarova, whose practice sits at the intersection of sound art, performance, and installation.
