This creation, in the form of a bubbling laboratory, does not stray from the choreographic line vigorously asserted by the Québécois choreographer since 2004: an outpouring which tries things out, face-plants, tries again, with an energy powered by the depths of rock music. But in 2026, it’s a feeling of disjunction, an impression of coming into conflict with the spirit of the age, which leads the dance and creates disequilibrium. The four musicians and six dancers are the pulse and the energy of these attempts to regain a foothold. In this work the bodies are caught up in turmoil, wracked by contradictory movements, fluctuating between extremes of quickness and slowness. The existences are fragmented but the vitality continues, while time dilates or contracts. Hope and loss rub shoulders, fragility and tension are emphasized, without cheating, and the atmosphere is electric.
