Version 1.0.0
Scene Seeker is a cultural event discovery platform for Brussels. We provide infrastructure for Organizers to list events and for Users to discover them. We are not an event promoter, ticket agent, or party to any agreement between Users and Organizers. Organizers are solely responsible for the legality, rights clearance, and factual accuracy of their Listings.
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By using the Platform you confirm you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access. We are not liable for losses arising from unauthorised use of your account.
In addition to content rules, you must not abuse the Platform itself. Prohibited conduct includes:
Content Licence
By submitting a Listing or any Content, you grant Scene Seeker a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, adapt, and display that Content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform (including on social media and partner channels) for the duration the Listing is live, and for a reasonable period thereafter for archival and marketing purposes. You retain ownership of your Content.
Accuracy Requirements
Listings must include accurate and complete information: event date(s) and time(s), venue name and address, organizer identity, ticket or RSVP link where applicable, and any age restrictions or access conditions. You must update or remove Listings promptly if details change or the event is cancelled.
Right to Remove
We reserve the right to remove, modify, or disable any Listing or account at any time and without prior notice if we determine it breaches these Terms, our Content Policy, or applicable law.
Data Protection
If you collect or process personal data of Users in connection with your event (e.g. through external ticketing systems or mailing lists), you act as an independent data controller under the GDPR and are solely responsible for compliance. You must not use any User contact information obtained via the Platform to send unsolicited communications unrelated to the specific event the User engaged with.
We may remove, restrict, or deprioritize Listings that breach our policies or applicable law. Depending on severity and repetition, we may apply warnings, temporary posting limits, listing removal, suspension, or account termination.
When we take action, we provide a reason statement where required and offer a path to challenge the decision. Full taxonomy and workflow details are in our Content Policy.
If you identify potentially illegal Content, submit a notice through Report Content. Reports must be accurate and submitted in good faith.
Organizers can challenge moderation outcomes through the appeals process described in the Content Policy. For legal notices, contact [email protected].
See our Privacy Notice and Cookie Policy for data and consent details.
The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components. We may suspend or restrict access for maintenance, legal, or operational reasons, and will aim to give reasonable notice where possible.
To the fullest extent permitted by Belgian law, Scene Seeker is not liable for: indirect, incidental, or consequential losses; loss of profits, opportunity, or data; or losses arising from your reliance on the accuracy or completeness of any Listing.
Scene Seeker is not a party to any transaction between Users and Organizers. We are not responsible for event cancellations, changes, or any failure by an Organizer to fulfil a Listing.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered Users of material changes by email or by a prominent notice on the Platform at least 14 days before changes take effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by Belgian law. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Brussels, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
