Voices and movement resound in a strange ballet, redolent both of a classical chorus and of the polyphonies of traditional songs. In CHOREIA, the CocoonDance company, guided by the Swiss choreographer Rafaële Giovanola and the German dramatist Rainald Endrass, presents a fascinating dance, guided by pulsating movement, breath and voices. In grey skirts and jackets, adorned with clown-like makeup, eight performers whirl around in a post-baroque ball, oscillating between harmony and disorder. A game of listening and resonance reveals a collective architecture, built on the spatialization of sound and bringing out the singular qualities of each performer. This tumultuous, tender, brutal horde is committed to carrying away the audience with its exhilarating energy.
