Tashi Dorji is a Bhutanese-born, Asheville-based experimental guitarist whose fiercely intuitive improvisations sit at the edge of avant-garde and improvised music. He has opened for Bonnie 'Prince' Billy and, since 2015, for Godspeed You! Black Emperor's European tours. His latest album, Low Clouds Hang, This Land Is on Fire (2026), is out on Drag City; he is also one half of the improvising duo MANAS and a founding member of the free jazz trio KUZU.
