Bearcave

Argyro, a headstrong farmer, shares everything with her friend Anneta, the village heartthrob and local manicurist. When Anneta announces that she’s pregnant and is about to leave the village with her boyfriend, a police officer, Argyro suggests one last adventure: climbing the nearby mountain in search of a mythical cave where, legend has it, women can be reborn... A journey that is both a spiritual and romantic quest. Drawing inspiration from ancient myths and contemporary realities, Bearcave creates a landscape of female liberation and forbidden desire, delivering a narrative that is at once poetic, sensual, and deeply queer.
