Belgian Italian Jazz Orchestra Plays the Italian Golden Era For over 11 years, the Belgian Italian Jazz Orchestra has been the only Italian big band based in Brussels. Closely connected to the Belgian Italian Jazz Festival, the orchestra is part of a wider artistic project created to promote Italian jazz, musicians and musical heritage in Belgium. Led by saxophonist, conductor and arranger Angelo Gregorio, founder and artistic director of the Belgian Italian Jazz Festival, the orchestra revisits the unforgettable sound of Italy’s golden musical era through original jazz arrangements. Iconic Italian melodies meet the colours of a full jazz orchestra, strings, rhythm section and voices, creating a journey through Italian song, cinema and jazz.
