Thousands of kilometres, from village to village, through landscapes where the road itself sometimes seems to vanish. A collapsed bridge stops the cycle. The tarmac gives way to earth, water and mud. And yet the journey continues. Life never stands still along Route Nationale 1. Where one road ends, another begins.
