FAST, or how can we reclaim our desires in a consumer society? "I used to take three minutes to get dressed. Now I spend three minutes just choosing my socks." When Didier Poiteaux begins researching fast fashion, he has no idea of the mechanism he is about to uncover. Fast fashion is a mode of production within the textile industry, born out of capitalism, that aims to produce ever more at ever lower prices. Paradoxically, the deeper Didier delves into the industry and its devastating consequences, the more pleasure he takes in caring about his appearance...
