About this event
Félicette is a project by Sam (Brorlab, Bontridders, Croptopcore). Originally conceived as a way to experiment with turntablism and sound, the project gradually evolved into more traditional tracks with experimental folk elements. With “EP1”, Félicette created a bucolic landscape, featuring lush instrumentation and gentle tracks. Shortly after “EP1”, Sam was joined on stage by Mathilde Luijten (bass), Abel Ghekiere (guitar + clarinet) and Maurice Luijten (guitar). They toured Belgium and mainland Europe, with highlights including support slots for Caroline and Snuggle and performances at the Absolutely Free Festival and We Are Open. Now they’re back with a full-length debut album, “Rope Cord Twine Thread String”, released on Toverberg, White Garden (Paris) and Mostly Interrupted. RCTTS builds on the gentle sound of EP1, but adds an ambitious production style that blends pop, folk and art rock. FFO: Broadcast, Feeble Little Horse, Stereolab.
