Klara Verkin, a young independent artist from Brussels, creates pop, folk, and electronic soundscapes centered around songs in French, written candidly about topics that are close to her heart. Through her lyrics and compositions, she explores a question that weighs heavily on her mind: What does it mean to be a young woman in today’s world? She will share the stage with Matthieu Thonon, a Brussels-based pianist and author of two albums acclaimed for their poignant lyrics and pop melodies with electronic influences. Following an intimate tour in 2024–2025, he is currently working on a third album scheduled for release in 2027. This concert is being organized to benefit the La Maison des Femmes de Bruxelles project, led by the teams at “320, rue Haute” at CHU Saint-Pierre. This future facility will bring together, in a safe and adapted space, essential services dedicated to welcoming, caring for, and protecting victims of gender-based and sexual violence. Supporting this project means helping to provide a place of protection, care, and dignity for particularly vulnerable women.
