Louise van den Heuvel International Quartet feat. Kit Downes, Otis Sandsjö & Sun-Mi Hong

Together with some of her favourite European (based) musicians, festival artist Louise van den Heuvel is once again pushing her own boundaries. For this international qurtet, she composes a brand-new repertoire that will search for fresh auditive textures, visual concepts and rhythmical challenges with a combination of saxophone, piano and organ, drums and electric bass. She has been deeply inspired by Otis Sandsjö’s band Y-OTIS for years, just as she has been with intrigued with the approach of rhythm that Kit Downes and Sun-Mi Hong both clearly have developed.
