Hailing from Bristol, the birthplace of trip-hop pioneered by Massive Attack, Portishead, and Roni Size, the supergroup MONOSUM (@monosum_) will stop in Brussels for an exclusive live performance. Bringing together five artists from Bristol’s new generation—GROVE (well-known in Brussels for his performances), t l k, BIPED, EJ:AKIN, and O’Lenahan—the group navigates between dubbed-out, trip-hop, and noise. The evening will also feature Suzie Babin (@suzie.babin), a Brussels-based artist and performer from Brittany, who will present “I WILL,” a piece created with the support of Charleroi Danse and Metarage. Inspired by drag king aesthetics, Suzie slips into different “skins” and brings her multiple alter egos to life in a raw and free exploration of identity, the body, and transformation.
