NEW ORLEANS NIGHT OWLS

NO-music is defined as ‘a simple melody with a beat’, played the spontaneous charming way as ‘Music for All Occasions!’. Functional for concerts or parties! NONO started in Gent in 1989, trying to play New Orleans Revival Jazz like Paul Barbarin’s band. Many visits to New Orleans later after working with local native musicians the music scene changed. Older musicians left the stages, and the younger generation introduced songs from later artists. This explains why beside the music from traditional bands, NONO’s program also is inspired by blues and R&B giants like Fats Domino, Dave Bartholomew, Louis Prima, Dr. John, “Fess” Longhair, Harry Connick jr, Ray Charles,.. all from, or strongly connected, to New Orleans!
