Nightlab Session: It Began In Ipanema w/ Daniel Haaksman

Berlin-based artist, DJ, producer, label boss and author Daniel Haaksman has spent decades championing musical exchange across the globe. His work transcends borders, drawing especially on the rhythms and sounds of Africa and Brazil. As an artist, he has released four albums, numerous EPs, remixes and compilations, while his label Man Recordings, with over 150 releases, pioneered the globalisation of baile funk and tropical bass. Daniel has just released his book It Began in Ipanema, to critical international acclaim. For this session, he will play a one-hour Brasilian vinyl set, followed by a presentation + Q&A of his new book.
