At an idyllic holiday destination, a woman gets triggered. She realises there is no (medical) cure for her issue. In short, a woman needs therapy until the end of her days to avoid becoming a danger to society. Therapy once a week for 52 weeks, times the average lifespan of a woman in Belgium – 84,3 years old – means another 2652 therapy sessions at €70 a piece. And that’s without accounting for inflation. Who is going to pay for that? Is it the responsibility of the victim, the perpetrator, or the government? Which measures will this woman have to take – out of necessity – to finance her personal growth? The title provides a hint, but no guarantees. OnlyFans for Therapy is a theatre performance about trauma, triggers, and revenge.(TRIGGER WARNINGS: This performance contains themes of sexual abuse, which can be experienced as emotionally taxing or triggering. We advise viewers to take this into account when deciding to attend the performance.)
