Pascal Chabot, a Belgian philosopher and the author of several acclaimed books, including Global Burn-out and A Meaning to Life, has spent many years exploring the transformations of the contemporary world. To mark the publication of his new book Nos vies encapsulées, he will give a talk followed by a conversation with the audience. Where are you right now? Most likely inside a capsule: a pervasive technical object that offers autonomy, comfort and constant connectivity, and in which our lives have gradually taken shape. Drawing on concrete examples, Pascal Chabot explores possible paths towards a more fully inhabited way of living. Along the way, he poses fundamental questions: what do we want to become? And how can we reinvent progress?
