Born from the collaboration of five musicians hailing from the vibrant music scene of the Grand Est region, SESAM formed with a simple yet radical ambition: to unleash their original jazz-inspired sounds and blend them with the urgency of post-punk and the intensity of noise. The collective is built on a balance of complementary strengths: Emmanuel Abdul, who switches between guitar and bass; Yacine Belmahi on bass and synth; Mathis Klaine on the Rhodes; Léo Lévêque on drums; and Marc Stehlin on trumpet and vocals. Heirs to the most nonconformist elements of jazz and rock, the five musicians from Metz reject the well-trodden paths of prefabricated genres and styles. Discover the sound of their many wanderings—shaped by boredom, serendipity, dashed hopes, pain, wonder, determination, and an ever-growing desire for rebellion.
