The Memorial to Those Who Did Not Fall in War (MNW) is a global collaborative artistic and intellectual project directed by Dr. Hadas Zahavi (Columbia University) that reimagines the memorial for a world in which 'peace' no longer shields anyone from the harms and responsibilities of military violence. The project gathers collaborators from across the globe—leading contemporary artists, theorists, writers, performers, and filmmakers—around a shared conviction about the universality of harm caused by war. It includes contributions from scholars and artists across multiple countries, with exhibitions, screenings, performances and discussions exploring how peace, responsibility and artistic practice intersect in response to global conflict.
