Until one day, something really does happen to him... Based on the picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. Ummi et Zaki by Daniela Opp (Germany, 2024, 4’): “Now we’re friends for life,” says Zaki the spider to Ummi, the little hippo who has just rescued her from the water. But Ummi isn’t quite sure Zaki is really the friend she had dreamed of... Petit poisson by Sergei Ryabov (Russia, 2007, 9’): After being caught by an old fisherman, a little fish comes back to life thanks to a young girl who believes in him. Le Poisson-ballon by Julia Ocker (Germany, 2022, 4’): The ocean is full of threatening fish, so the little pufferfish puffs himself up bigger and bigger to appear larger and stronger and avoid being intimidated.
