No prior knowledge required, bring a laptop. Max 12 participants. By introducing participants to SuperCollider, an open, programmable environment for sound, this workshop explores fundamental principles of sound design — additive synthesis and its extension to multichannel audio, where sounds are distributed across multiple speakers to create dynamic, decentralized listening spaces. Open to anyone interested in sound composition that blurs the boundaries between sound spatialization, electronic music, performance, art and architecture. Rubén Patiño is an artist based in Amsterdam whose practice challenges standardized formats of presentation, blending concerts, public events and installations; his work has been shown at festivals including Sonar, Unsound, CTM, Atonal and Rewire.
