  JOIN THE BRUSSELS BY NIGHT CARE TEAM! Do you care about safer nightlife and harm reduction? Do you want to work on creating more inclusive party spaces? Brussels By Night is looking for new Care Team members to support people during nightlife events, festivals and open airs in Brussels. As part of the Care Team, you will: → provide listening and support → help prevent risky situations from escalating → offer harm reduction information → support people facing vulnerability, discrimination or (sexist and sexual) violence → work alongside organisers, security and first aid teams We are looking for sensitive, caring and reliable people who feel connected to these issues and who may already have experience in harm reduction, care, safer spaces, nightlife, community work or support roles.   That Agent of Change principle was voted yesterday! Brussels has just taken a decisive step toward protecting its nightlife. A policy shift that flips the traditional logic of noise complaints and places responsibility on newcomers rather than long-standing cultural venues. Since 2023, the Night Council and Brussels By Night have been pushing for this exact framework. Through sustained advocacy, policy work, and international research, the sector built a strong case: nightlife is not a nuisance, but a vital part of the city that deserves structural protection. Recent tensions and high-profile cases made the urgency clear, but the response is now systemic. The new rule recognizes nightlife as part of urban planning. We now urgently need to protect the existing venues to improve the stability of our ecosystem.
