Olivier Franc Sidney Bechet Spirit Quintet Franc Connection

This new sister orchestra has chosen to champion the musical form of classic jazz by presenting a repertoire of original compositions rather than the standards of the past. This includes a few hits by Sidney Bechet, such as ‘Si tu vois ma mère’ from the film *Midnight in Paris*. The two new members of the ensemble – double bassist Amaïdy Mevegue, originally from Cameroon, and drummer Schaël Michanol from Martinique – bring a unique groove to the group!
