Sortir par la Porte (une tentative d’évasion)

An Initiatory Escape Young Juan, who has been living independently since the age of 16, is a regular on Buenos Aires’ underground scene, letting himself be swept away by music and dance. He smokes his first joint and becomes caught in a hellish spiral. To pull him out of it, his mother sends him to a fascistic rehabilitation centre, its atmosphere more akin to a prison. Years later, the artist, now based in France, realises that him choosing the Cyr wheel as his preferred apparatus is closely connected to this experience. This three-metre, fifteen-kilogram ring becomes his partner in telling this journey of self-discovery. Following Instante I Lontano at the Brigittines International Festival 2025, this is the second time we have had the pleasure of welcoming this brilliant artist. This time, with a performance that feels like a whirlwind of hope.
