After three years of touring Europe, this is a rare opportunity to rediscover the subtle and warm rapport between Clément and Guillaume Papachristou. In its great formal simplicity, Une tentative presque comme une autre is aptly touching. Clément and Guillaume Papachristou are twins. Their resemblance is as striking as the asymmetry of their bodies: one is able-bodied, the other has a motor disability (cerebral palsy). The thrust stage ensures that the views of the performers and spectators become entwined. Guillaume watches Clément as Clément watches Guillaume, sealing the instantaneous recognition and absolute trust of brotherly love. Spectators watch them just as they watch themselves watching them. This interplay of perspectives weaves a genuine network of sensitive and funny perceptions that engage everyone in a rather unique moment together. The performance borrows from autofiction to address, unequivocally, the realities of love, sexuality, money and the central question of one’s place in the spotlight. This beautiful performance continues a committed artistic dialogue that began five years ago with Clément Papachristou, who last season created the highly acclaimed Justices. All performances are available in the Relax format. Création Studio Théâtre National Wallonie-Bruxelles Copresented by Les Halles de Schaerbeek as part of the Cuddles festival
