About this event
First solo exhibition at Rossicontemporary for Belgian artist Randoald Sabbe, presenting under the manifesto-like title "Sabbeteur des images" a vast collection of incisive and lighthearted works developed since 2020 through textual paintings, object assemblages and hijacked signages. By seizing on ordinary iconography - popular references, signage, commercial signs, everyday accessories and familiar expressions - the artist probes the porosity of history, politics and the sacred.
