Based on true events, Miss Carbón chronicles the struggle of a trans woman who defies convention on two fronts in her Chilean village. She becomes the region’s first female miner, challenging a local, patriarchy-fueled superstition linking women to the risk of mine collapses. Starring Lux Pascal, this Spanish-Argentine feature film is a story of queer and working-class struggle and resistance set in the heart of Patagonia.
